Believe it or not, I decided to give actual blogging a try in 2024. Previously, I’d sporadically publish a recipe on this website, here and there, but it was never an intentional thing. That changed about a year ago, however, when Anthony and I decided that 2024 would be the Year of the Blog. And what a year it’s been! I’ve been posting new recipes every week for several months, and I’ve learned a ton about what it means to cultivate not just a catalogue of yummy dishes, but a community of trust.
Because that’s what it’s all about, right? The trust you give me to actually try the recipes I share!
I want to thank you all for trusting me with your pots, pans, kitchen knives, and, most importantly, with your stomachs! And with that, the following are your favorite recipes of 2024!!
10. Easy Heart-Healthy Savory Oatmeal: Bibim Oats.
This one was a surprise to me! I did not think there would be so many people interested in my Korean take on oatmeal, mostly designed to get my parents to eat more oats! But believe it or not, it begins this list as the 10th most popular recipe on the blog in 2024!
9. Easy vegan blueberry cobbler (gf option).
I came up with this recipe because I love blueberries, but sometimes, making muffins or cake is just too much work. Plus, I’ve found that cobblers are so easy to modify for gluten-free diets! The results were absolutely magical.

8. 5 easy korean zucchini recipes.
I love zucchini in the summer, especially Korean zucchini. One day, I walked out of the Korean grocery store with 11 zucchini and decided to make a day of it!

7. DREAMY HOMEMADE VEGAN TIRAMISU RECIPE.
My husband asked me to make him tiramisu. What he didn’t realize was that, once requested, I would stop at nothing to perfect a vegan version. Thus ensued several iterations. But it was all worth it!

6. KIMCHI SOONDOOBOO CHIGAE.
And oldie, but a goodie. This mashup between two classic Korean stews is a dream of kimchi proportions!

5. Healthy and Easy Vegan Japchae.
Japchae is a dish fit for royalty, but I wanted to make an “everyday” version that also boosts those nutrients proven to promote longevity.

4. easy & hi-protein vegan kimchi jjigae.
I came up with this recipe when it became clear I was entering that wonderful stage in life called “perimenopause.” I guess it’s finally time to start paying attention to protein!
“Oh seriously. This is the bomb. My hmart has vegan kimchi which I always have on hand. In fact I had EVERYTHING on hand including udon noodles in the freezer. Will go into regular rotation!!“
3. 15-minute easy vegan tteokbokki.
I mean, who doesn’t like tteokbokki? This 15-minute version will satisfy that late-night Kdrama craving while packing TONS of heat!

2. The best vegan kimchi (김치) recipe.
The very first thing I set out to veganize when I went plant-based in 2016 was kimchi, because I couldn’t call myself Korean without figuring it out. Well, let’s just say–I’ve figured it out!
