Yamaharu is one of the famous companies specializing in seasonal seafood at Toyosu Market. The company opened its first sushi shop at Toranomon Hills. The sushiya is a tachigui, stand and eat, style. I love these casual type of restaurants or drinking spots. Easy spots for solo diners or for small groups of friends.
There is an iPad menu in Japanese or English. The menu includes otsumami seasonal small bites, this time of year including shirako milt and ankimo monkfish liver. Sushi starts at 100 yen (70 cents). The sake list is also impressive with offerings including Jikon, Sharaku, Kokuryu, and Dassai.
Lunchtime is very popular and when I have walked by it’s always busy. Eight pieces of sushi for only 1,700 yen ($11). Staff very friendly.
