Yomoda Soba is a casual stand-and-slurp soba shop with branches in Tokyo. A bowl of noodles topped with tempura is only about 620 yen ($4). There are a variety of tempura toppings including shrimp, squid, or julienned onions.

What Yomoda Soba is also famous for is the Indian curry. A spicy curry with a small chicken drumette. Also only 620 yen ($4). Surprisingly spicy. 🥵 🌶 Grateful for the self-service water dispenser. 🤣

On this afternoon the music playing was from the 50s. Some song about tan shoes with pink shoe laces. Sharply at noon a queue formed with a mix of salarymen and construction workers. Yomoda is a quick and satisfying meal. The Ginza branch has seats, but some of the other branches are tachigui stand-and-slurp. Yomoda Soba usually is open from early in the morning, around 7:00 a.m.
