What’s Pop of Flavor about?

Pop of Flavor is a celebration of cravings. Instead of organizing it into chapters by meal type, the chapters are broken up by texture and flavor so that you can cook what you crave:

I started working on this book when my son Ollie was about 2 years old. I’m sure many of you can relate—it was a time when it felt hard to get dinner on the table every night. Mealtimes were loud and messy, and I lost my kitchen spark for a while.

Flavor-boosting components helped me get it back—punchy sauces, crunchy seed and nut mixes, ALL the fresh herbs, tangy pickles… I started keeping a few of them on hand at all times, and it became easier for me to turn super simple meals into something exciting…something I craved.

This book is built around my go-to components. Some are store-bought (like chili crisp and capers) and some are homemade (like Red Pepper Tahini Sauce and Jalapeño Radish Pickles). ALL of them will add a delicious pop of flavor to whatever you’re cooking. I share 3 full recipes that use each component, plus tons of no-recipe ideas for incorporating it into easy meals.

The goal: To make it easy to cook meals you crave!
