Seaweed soup (miyeok-guk) is beloved by Koreans. We have it as our casual soup with our meals, MUST-HAVE soup on birthdays, and MUST-HAVE postpartum recovery soup for our new mothers.

Yield: 4 to 5 Servings 4~5인분

20 Grams Dried Seaweed 미역

2.5 Liters Water 물

150 Grams Korean Radish 무 (substitution: pink/red round radishes)

50 Grams Beef Strips 소고기 (substitutions: mussels or clams; 🌱Vegan: Omit)

1 Dashi Pack 다시팩 (substitutions: 4 - 6 Dried Anchovies 1"+ in length; 🌱Vegan: Omit)

1 Tablespoon 큰술 Guk Soy Sauce 국간장

1 Teaspoon 작은술 Sesame Oil 참기름

1 Teaspoon 작은술 Minced Garlic 다진마늘

⅛ Teaspoon 작은술 Black Pepper 후추

1 Teaspoon 작은술 Salt 소금

Optional: ½ Teaspoon 작은술 Beef Dashida 쇠고기 다시다 (🌱Vegan: YonDu or MSG)
