Flight Cancelled? This Lounge at JFK Is Giving Out Free Margaritas

1 day ago 7

We’ve all been there: sitting on the floor at your gate, clutching a sad airport meal, wondering how your relaxing vacation turned into a stress spiral. With fewer air traffic controllers and a jam-packed summer travel season, canceled and delayed flights are basically a guarantee. I’m curious if you’ve noticed similar stuff and how you’re beating the travel woes—let me know.

But one brand wants to turn that chaos into happy hour. For two days only—July 17 and 18—Cayman Jack (yes, the margarita in a bottle brand) is opening The Cayman Club: A Missed Flight Lounge at JFK’s TWA Hotel. And the only way to get in? Show proof of a delayed, canceled, or missed flight.

Inside, you’ll find everything you actually want while stuck at an airport: ice-cold Cayman Jack Margaritas, photo-ready snacks, cozy lounge vibes, and even free massages. It’s like your travel day turned into a spa day, minus the stress (or the price tag).

How it works:

• Show up on July 17 or 18 with proof your flight’s been delayed, canceled, or missed (a screenshot or boarding pass will do).

• RSVP via Eventbrite.

• Be 21+ with a valid ID.

• Head to the TWA Hotel at JFK and enjoy.

What if you’re not traveling through NYC?

And for everyone else stuck in an airport far, far away? Cayman Jack is also launching a virtual version of the experience at missedflightlounge.com, where you can try to score free drinks and perks like spa gift cards if you have a missed flight outside of NYC. Honestly, let me know if this works for anyone.

So if your summer travel plans take a nosedive, you just might land in the most exclusive lounge in Terminal 5.

If you're missing out, here’s some margarita to make yourself
